MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS

Karina Dulin

Karina Dulin was born in Central America, grew up in South America, and came to the U.S. to get her degree, receiving her English degree with a minor in Secondary Education in 1996 from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Returning to Latin America became an impossibility when love came calling, and wedding bells sounded in 2000. After several years of teaching middle school English, it was a joy to be able to resign to be at home with two children when they came, and eventually homeschool them beginning in 2014. With the eldest having graduated and the younger one entering the last years of high school, Mrs. Dulin is excited to return to the classroom to help parents train young men and women to examine all things through the filter of God’s word.

Claudine Graham

Claudine Graham was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. She attended Rider University and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. She spent her college years tutoring HS math and teaching a class to those who failed the math entrance exam. Even though her love of math goes back to the fourth grade, her knowledge in computer science led her into Information Technology working as a Project Manager. Claudine and her husband, Dan, moved to South Florida in 2001 to get away from the cold weather and snow. They are blessed with two amazing children, Caitlyn and Kyle. They decided to homeschool Kyle starting in 5 th grade with Caitlyn joining the following year. It was through homeschooling that her love for teaching returned! In 2019, God led them to GHC, opening a door to teach math again. In her spare time, Claudine enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with family.

Lori Hackbart

Two things I have always loved, children & teaching, led me to pursue a teaching certificate at the University of Colorado and to home-school my 2 daughters. Life-long learning is my passion, therefore I strive to inspire students to make learning a lifestyle. I have taught a variety of home school classes in coops while raising my daughters in Atlanta, I have taught group fitness since I was 15, and I have written curriculum & taught God's word in small groups through my church, as well as through Bible Study Fellowship. My English Literature degree has given me an insatiable hunger for reading and an appreciation for well-written classics but there is no book I love more than my Bible. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm for God's Word and good books to your students!

Carrie Johnson

Carrie Johnson graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Social Science and taught in the Palm Beach County School System. When she had her first child, she came home to be with him, and within a few years, he was given a brother and two sisters. She began homeschooling when her first-born started kindergarten. With the two oldest now graduated, and pursuing engineering degrees, she looks back with gratitude that she had the opportunity to teach her children. Her favorite subject to teach is the word of God, whether it be through Writing, History, Literature, or a different subject altogether. Her desire is to help children excel in their academics while cultivating a passion to follow Christ and to know His Word. One of her favorite verses is “I have no greater joy than to hear that my [our] children are walking in the truth” (3 John 1:4).

Trista McMorrow

Raised in the community of Sarasota, Florida, I am a dedicated educator and committed mother with a diverse academic background. Graduating from the University of Florida with degrees in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Secondary Education, I established myself in the public school system, earning certifications to teach Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) mathematics classes at both middle and high school levels. Driven by a desire to prioritize the education and well-being of my four children, I transitioned from the public school classroom to embrace the fulfilling journey of homeschooling. Alongside being a proud wife and mom, my love for Jesus guides my values and actions. Passionate about lifelong learning, I create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment in our home, fostering curiosity and intellectual growth. Our family has called Jupiter, Florida, home for the past decade, contributing to the community fabric of this coastal town.

Madeline Miller

Hello! My name is Madeline Miller! Though, I believe many of you may know me as Madeline Buck. I got married in April of this year, and I must admit, I am still getting used to the name change myself! I also finished my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in May. While I loved my time in the classroom throughout my senior semester, my heart repeatedly called me back to Grace Homeschool Connection. I am so excited to be working with your students this semester! I was an IEW student myself for well over 8 years and started teaching it when I was 17. Though I am 24 now, I still love this curriculum with all my heart. I hope to inspire and encourage your students the way my teachers lead me! Looking forward to a happy year with you all! 

Hayley Morris

Hayley was born and raised in Durban, South Africa where she discovered her love of art at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at the University of South Africa. She has sold paintings professionally and has been commissioned by churches, schools, and individuals to create large-scale murals. Her favorite mediums are oils and watercolors. After immigrating to the United States, Hayley was given the opportunity to teach art at GHC. There, she has had the privilege of watching children blossom in their confidence in creating works of art for approximately 10 years. Hayley is married with two children, Lillian and Benjamin.

Grace Porter

Grace is originally from New York.  She moved to the Jupiter area with her family shortly after high school.  She became a follower of Christ in 1993 and felt the Lord prompting her to finish college.  She graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic College in 2000 and nine months later became the wife to Dave –the best day of her life.  The Lord kindly gave them four sons in 4.5 years. What a grace from the Lord!  Not being comfortable with the public school system for their children and with much prayer, Dave and Grace felt God leading them to homeschool.  Their family had partnered with other moms in a homeschool co-op for their first ten years of homeschooling and are enjoying the GHC classes in the older years.  With two children now just graduated from high school, Grace is excited to come alongside other parents to teach their children math, which she has especially loved since her school days while sharing the peace and joy of knowing Christ as her savior.

Missy Price

Missy Price and her husband Darrell live in Palm Beach Gardens and enjoy their backyard farm with their four children, who have been home-educated since the beginning of their lives. Missy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Florida Atlantic University in 1998. She began her career in scriptwriting, producing, and directing educational television programming. She and her husband decided that when they began raising their children, she would stop traveling with her job and begin to teach while completing her advanced degree in Elementary Education. Before completing a master's degree, they decided that she would put her own school on hold and educate their children at home.  She has been home-educating and teaching children ranging from preschool to High School in Cooperatives for over a decade.  Science has been a passion of Missy’s since she was an environmental justice activist in Middle School through College.  She truly enjoys unveiling the wonders of God’s creation to people.

Pam Scott

Pam Scott was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.  After graduating in 1992 with her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. She met her husband David and they were married in 1996.  After spending one year in Gainesville, Florida, while her husband completed his Agricultural Engineering degree at the University of Florida, they moved to Stuart, Florida.  After a few years in the corporate world, she became a stay-at-home mom to three children. Led by God to homeschool when her girls were in 3rd grade and 1st grade, she embarked on this adventure that has led to graduating two children, one has graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and one that is still pursuing a degree from the University of Florida.  The youngest is still homeschooling for a few more years.  It’s hard to pick one favorite Bible verse but Jeremiah 29:11 is high on her list.  She loves all things football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida Gators, reading, cooking, and baking.  The opportunity to mold and shape young minds to love science and God’s creation is a joy.

Elisa Steele

Elisa Steele was born in Mexico but grew up primarily in Utah. She moved to Florida in 2017 to marry the love of her life and pursue a path in ministry together. While living in Utah, Elisa spent several years during the annual legislative session serving as the Director of the Intern Program for a local pro-family lobbyist group. She fell in love with teaching as she guided roughly 30 high school students each year through an in-depth learning experience on America and our Constitution. She has also served as an in-home tutor to a variety of grades and subjects. Elisa loves being a mother and is finally adjusting to the Florida humidity after 5+ years here.
